I already have an immigrant visa issued 2010 (my sister petition me).I went to Seattle last Oct.24, 2010 went back to Philippines Dec.27,2011.I just want to ask if there’s any requirements to be accomplish in this office before buying my ticket going back to US and is there any date of expiration to stay longer here in the Philippines in order not to void the effectivity of my permanent stay at US?This is only an inquiry.Thank you very much.

    HI Sir/Ma’am

I just want to ask something regarding the US tourist visa. I am planning to visit my friends in the US and at the same time we are planning to go on a Carribean cruise. I am wondering if I should get any other visa or tourist visa?

    • NIV2 says:

Hi Leonard. Based on your purpose of travel, you will need a visitor visa to travel to the U.S. To qualify for the visitor visa, you should be able to demonstrate sufficiently strong familial, social, professional and economic ties to a country outside the United States that would compel return after your temporary stay in the United States. Please visit our website for the requirements in applying for a nonimmigrant visa.

Hi I’m Des! I would like to ask if I can already travel in the US since I already have my Visa last Sept 3. My parents lived in NJ and I want to spend time with them first since there’s no job vacancy yet in the facility in CT where I will work.. However, prior to my interview, my employer told me that I cannot get to US within the next few months since the facility I will work at, has no vacancy yet. The maximum time I need to wait is 6 mos. Is it possible not to tell them that I will already go to NJ & I will just wait for their instruction since our communication is thru e-mail if I will already start with my work in the facility in CT? If my port of entry in NJ instead of CT would it cause any problem because the Immigration might ask some information. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your interest in the VISAtisfied Voyager.

Please be aware that an immigrant visa is generally valid for six months from the date of issuance or it may be limited to less than six months validity because of medical restrictions or other considerations. You may enter the U.S. through any of its assigned port of entries before your visa expires.
