Nonimmigrant visa applicants must pay the machine-readable visa application fee (MRV fee) shown below. The fee is based the type of visa you are applying for.
The fees are as follows:
$140 – B1/B2, C1/D, F, J, and all other NIV categories not listed below (Visitor/Transit/Student)
$150 – H, L, O, P, Q, and R (Temporary Worker)
$350 – K (Fiancée)
$390 – E (Investor/Trader)
To pay the fee, the applicant must have his or her passport number available. The applicant’s passport number will be tied to the MRV fee paid at the bank.
There are three ways to pay the MRV fee:
1. Pay in cash at any branch of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI).
2. Pay through online bill payment option provided by BPI for their customers.
3. Online payment through Bancnet Visa application fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
No exceptions will be made to this rule. The fee is valid for one year after the date of actual payment; your interview must take place within that one year.

This simple online notice is very helpful. It keeps us updated and informed. Thanks so much and God bless!
I scheduled an interview for both my parents. In the site it said, Total Fee (2 x 140.0 x 44.00)PHP 12320.0.
Today, I paid the said amount over-the-counter at BPI and when I entered the receipt number at the site, it said “No service fee can be found for the entered request number. Please validate your request number is correct and you have paid the correct amount for the visa you are applying.”
I could not find anything on “service fee” in the website. What other fees are there to pay for and how much? Could the same receipt be used as well?
I feel worried that our payment could get nullified because of this. Please help me finish this process. Thank you so much for your help.
Hi Ruby. Please send an email to ConsManilaNIV@state.gov with the applicants’ names and we will check their record in our system. Thank you.
I postponed scheduling their interview 2 days after payment and it went through smoothly. Thank you for your help. This system is really convenient. Kudos to you all!
Hi. I paid cash over the counter at BPI and received a “DEPOSIT/PAYMENT RECEIPT”. What is the format for entering the receipt number in the “APPLY FOR US VISA” site? Thanks.

Hi. Good day!
I paid the MRV early last year. I had been busy and had to put off my travel plans until this year. I did not finish and submit my DS160 application until a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I cannot locate my MRV receipt and I found out I could not book an appointment online without the receipt. Is there anything else I can do besides go to the issuing bank?
Your reply will be very helpful. Thank you very much.
Hi Ricky. If you have already paid the MRV application fee, you may proceed to book your interview appointment. In booking your appointment online, you may provide your passport number instead of your receipt number. If you are unable to book your appointment using your passport number, you can contact the call center for assistance at (02) 982-5555 and (02) 902-8930. I am now based in the US with a renewed H1b visa. Going home to the Philippines in April where I need to get it stamped on my passport. How do I pay for the MRV fees? There doesn’t seem to be an option for Filipinos outside in the US- I don’t have a BPI or Bancnet account. How do I pay so that I can book my appointment in advance? Thanks!
Hi Grace. There are 3 ways to pay the machine-readable visa application fee: Applicants can pay in cash at any branch of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), Pay through online bill payment option provided by BPI for their customers, and Online payment through Bancnet. There are no other payment options aside from these. If you wish, you can ask a relative or friend in the Philippines to pay the application fee on your behalf. Your representative need only to present a copy of your passport’s biographic page to the BPI bank teller.
