If you live in or near Hyderabad – or are travelling through Hyderabad – you could always drop off your voted ballot at the American Citizens Services Unit in the U. S. Consulate, Monday through Friday from 12:30 pm to 4 pm. It would take about 15 days of pouch transit time. Please consider this timeline before submitting the ballot. If you prefer mailing the ballot to the Consulate, you could either courier it to us or use the Indian postal system. For forecasting workload, we would prefer if you take an appointment to drop off your ballot (under “Notarial and Other Services”), but if after checking it appears that appointment slots are full, it is more important to send these as soon as possible, so you may call us at +91-40-4033-8300 to arrange for dropping off the ballot without an appointment.
