Voters from these States should visit the FVAP.gov web portal to register and request their absentee ballot for the February, March, and April 2012 Presidential Preference Primaries (P) and State Primaries (S) listed below:[...]
The U.S. Department of State (DoS) and the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) need your help to make absentee/overseas voting easier for you.
Voting is the right of U.S. citizens, everywhere. However, we recognize the challenges faced by U.S. voters abroad who want to exercise this right. DoS and our partner, FVAP, want to know about your voting experience so we can take concrete steps to improve the process.
Please click the link below to access a survey that asks you about your voting experience — even if you have never actually voted overseas. The information you provide now will help us improve the voting experience for overseas U.S. citizens in the future. The survey does not require you to provide any personally identifiable information and all responses are kept confidential.
If your absentee ballot still hasn’t arrived, it’s time to use the “back-up” ballot, the Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB). The FWAB is the official substitute for ballots that do not reach overseas and military voters on time. Visit FWAB.
You also have a second option if you are registered to vote in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Washington, and West Virginia. People registered in these states can vote electronically!
We’ve posted additional details about this project on our Voter Assistance Site.
The November 2nd General Election is approaching! By registering to vote, you have taken the first step in helping to shape your state’s future.
